How do students connect to Pear Deck?
To join the presentation, your students: Go to joinpd.com. Enter the five-letter Join Code from your Session at joinpd.com. Alternatively, you can post or email the Session link that you get when you click Give Students a Link (see step #1 above) and students can simply click on it to join your Session.
Can students make a Pear Deck?
Students must join a Pear Deck Session in order to engage and respond to your interactive slides! Here’s how to present a Session: Open the Pear Deck sidebar and click the green Present Lesson (PowerPoint Online Add-in) or Start Lesson (Google Slides Add-on) button.
Can you use Pear Deck without a Google account?

Overview. Pear Deck collects your students’ responses in real time and saves them automatically in the Session where they were collected. You can show responses to your class on the Projector View, and view them in the private Teacher Dashboard (with Premium) in real time or after you end the Session.

Absolutely. Just start your Session, turn on Student-Paced, and make sure students have the Session Join Code or the Session URL.

While Pear Deck has always worked with Google Apps for Education, now teachers at schools using Microsoft Office 365 apps like PowerPoint Online and Teams can add the magic of formative assessments and interactive questions to their classroom experience.
How do I make my Pear Deck anonymous?
While you can see names in the Dashboard, answers are always displayed anonymously on the Projector view in Pear Deck. To hide a particular response from the Projector View, click on the More Actions (three-dots) button next to the name, then click Hide Response.
How many participants can join Pear Deck?
The free account provides basic interactive questions with unlimited interactive sessions, five free presentation imports, and a maximum of 30 session participants. Help can be found by clicking on Menu and then Support.
Can Pear Deck see your screen?
Chromecast the Projector View to your big screen for all students to see. Open a new window and type peardeck.com/dash to open the Dashboard of your latest Session, where you can see individual student responses and control the Projector View privately from your own screen.
What can teachers see on Pear Deck?
Each Pear Deck Session has three Views: the Projector View, the Student View (which students enter when they join your Session), and the private Teacher Dashboard View. The Dashboard shows students’ names next to their responses and helps you review and evaluate their work.
